The 2013 Academy Award nominations were announced today (Jan. 10), and while there weren't too many surprises, there were some notable exclusions.

Oscar host Seth MacFarlane was joined by Emma Stone to read off the nods and provide some, if minimal, entertainment in the press conference. If it was a sign of things to come in February, you may want to pop a 5-Hour Energy before the show starts.

As expected, the underwear-averse Anne Hathaway earned a Best Supporting Actress nom for her role of Fantine in 'Les Miserables,' a tragedy that led to the tragedy that is her current haircut -- though we have to say, it's growing out pretty nicely. Jennifer Lawrence snagged a Best Actress nod for 'The Silver Linings Playbook,' alongside co-star Bradley Cooper, who nabbed a Best Actor nod for his own role.

Cooper is facing stiff competition, however, from Daniel Day-Lewis, who's pretty much a shoo-in for his title role in 'Lincoln.'

Meanwhile, neither Leonardo DiCaprio nor Ben Affleck were nominated for anything, but their films 'Django Unchained' and 'Argo' each received multiple nods. We're not sure what everyone has against DiCaprio (who's probably wishing supermodels could vote for Academy Awards right about now), but maybe Affleck's not as good at politics as he thought.

Also snubbed: Kathryn Bigelow, who become the first woman to win a Best Director award back in 2011 for 'The Hurt Locker,' didn't get any Oscar love for helming Best Picture nominee 'Zero Dark Thirty.'
