Awards show season is well underway: It's only been a week since the 2015 Grammy Awards — arguably the Unites States' biggest night in music — crowned Taylor Swift the evening's big winner with the Album of the Year award, but we've already moved across the pond to the UK’s equivalent show, the 2016 BRIT Awards.

In addition to honoring the best in British music, the show features a slew of performances from some of today’s biggest artists. Coldplay kicked things off with a colorful rendition of their current single "Hymn For the Weekend," though Beyonce was sadly not in attendance.

Justin Bieber and James Bay took the stage shortly after for a performance that started off with an acoustic rendition of Bieber's hit "Love Yourself" before launching into "Sorry," which incorporated a fair amount of elaborate pyrotechnics. Check that one out below.

Rihanna's performance was, perhaps, one of the most highly anticipated of the night. She opened with a performance of her SZA-featuring ANTI track "Consideration" before segueing into her current single "Work," complete with a surprise appearance from Drake.

Little Mix later took the stage, delivering one of the evening's most energetic sets with a dynamic performance of hit single "Black Magic."

Lorde performed a tribute to David Bowie, which you can check out below.

Check back as we update this post throughout the night with more performance footage from artists like Adele, The Weeknd and Jess Glynne.
