Taylor Swift Opens 2016 Grammy Awards With ‘Out of the Woods’ [WATCH]

Taylor Swift opened the 2016 Grammy Awards telecast with a powerful, confident performance of her latest single from 1989, "Out of the Woods."

Swift, who took home trophies for Best Music Video ("Bad Blood") and Best Pop Vocal Album (1989) during the pre-telecast Premiere Ceremony, sported a dark-aqua-colored, sequined bodysuit and matching heels (an outfit that matched the tree branches and forest scenes on her stage backdrop) for her awards show-opening number. The song was slightly rearranged and truncated for the broadcast, although the pop-electronic foundation and effects remained prominent, and Swift showed no signs of nerves. In fact, to finish the song, she strutted off of the large main stage to a smaller round platform and ended the tune with a series of soaring, strong-sounding vocal maneuvers.

Jack Antonoff, who co-produced and co-wrote "Out of the Woods," also performed onstage with her.

Her 2016 Grammy Awards performance was Swift's sixth time performing on the Grammy Awards. Her last appearance was in 2014, when she took to the piano for a rendition of "All Too Well," while she also opened the telecast in 2013, with a colorful, carnival-like performance of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Awards-wise, Swift still has the chance to add a few more trophies to her Grammy haul before the night is through: 1989 is up for Album of the Year, while “Blank Space" is also nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
