Apache Oil Corporation Claims They Have Found 3 Billion Barrels of Oil Around Pecos

With the economy in the Permian Basin on a downturn, one oil company has claimed to have found a lot of oil and gas in Reeves County around the city of Pecos.

According to NewsWest 9, Houston based Apache Oil Corporation claims to have found over 3 billion barrels of oil and 75 trillion cubic feet of natural gas mostly in Reeves County.

They are calling the area Alpine High and say it is a difficult area which is why it has not been explored by other oil companies.
