This is the sound of "Freedom": Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar might both headline the next Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

The artists, who famously blew away audiences at the 2016 BET Awards with a performance of the Lemonade track, may very well be the 2017 festival's big sells, according to industry trade publication Hits Daily DoubleAnd Radiohead, who have played Coachella four times, could join.

Lamar played a solo Coachella set in 2012 and made a surprise cameo during Ice Cube's performance earlier this year, but Beyonce has yet to perform (she has, however, watched performances from the VIP section).

Coachella, which debuted in 1999, touches down annually in Indio, California and Ellie Goulding, Grimes, Sia and Calvin Harris all played the 2016 festival. Prince, who died only a day before the second round of April performance dates, was the subject of a moving tribute.

Official performers will be announced in January, and Coachella's 2017 shows will run between April 14 and 16 and April 21 and 23.
