Disney Reveals First Image from 2017 ‘Ducktales’ Reboot
Life is like a hurricane, with all these reboots and revivals coming at us. It's a duck-blur. But today on Twitter, Disney got everyone's attention by releasing the first promotional image from the new incarnation of Ducktales, which arrives on Disney XD in 2017. The image was first tweeted from the Twitter account of Disney D23, the official Disney fan club, and was then shared by other official Disney sources.
History’s Monsters: Douglas Rushkoff and Michael Avon Oeming Take On ‘Aleister & Adolf’
The original Captain America villain goes up against a supporting character from Alan Moore and JH Williams III's Promethea in Aleister & Adolf, a new graphic novel by Douglas Rushkoff and Michael Avon Oeming. Levity aside, obviously the new book draws not on Aleister Crowley and Adolf Hitler's previous comic book appearances, but on their real life personas, and particularly their shared interest in the occult. The book arrives in stores on November 2nd, 2016.
Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice: The Best Powerpuff Girls Fan Art
With a brand-new Powerpuff Girls series headed to Cartoon Network this spring, this seems like the perfect time to gather some Powerpuff fan art for your enjoyment. Ever since Professor Utonium accidently created them in his lab in 1998, the Powerpuff Girls have been the heroes of Townsville and some of the most influential superheroes to originate on television rather than comics.
The girls comprise a perfectly balanced team despite the small number (and small stature). Buttercup is the violent tomboy, Bubbles is the sunny girly-girl, and Blossom, as the leader, falls between those extremes. Add the Professor as an Alfred figure and the Mayor of Townsville as their Commissioner Gordon, and you have a perfect little superhero premise.
‘Adventures of Supergirl’ #1 Brings TV’s Supergirl to Comics! (Comics’ Supergirl Still MIA)
When the CBS Supergirl TV series was announced, and then when its premiere approached, and again when it turned out to be a really good show, one question was repeated among the fans of the character: Where is Supergirl in the comics?
Thankfully that question has now been answered with Adventures of Supergirl by Sterling Gates and Bengal, a digital-first series set in the world of the TV show.
