Check Out The Teaser That Was Better Than The ‘True Detective’ Finale – [VIDEO]

HBO made up for the horrible True Detective finale with a teaser for a new series that was something great and terrifying from my childhood!

The teaser for the new HBO Series, 'Westworld' looks amazing! It features a top notch cast including Sir Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris.

The original 'Westworld' was released in 1973 and featured Yul Brenner as the malfunctioning gun fighter, something James Cameron would have to admit played in his nightmares when thinking up the 'Terminator' movies.

It was a time in our nation's history when the Vietnam War was wrapping up, our country was disillusioned with its government and technology was starting to outpace our morals.  Auto workers were afraid their jobs were going to be outsourced to robots; which turned out to be true. Technology was starting to invade every area of our lives, so the next logical step for sci-fi writers was to create a future Disneyland for adults where fantasies could become a reality, acted out by costumed automatons.

The latest incarnation of Westworld, looks like a cross between 'Deadwood' and 'Ex Machina'. The new series debuts in 2016, which isn't soon enough for me!
