City of Odessa will be shutting down Memorial Park for several days to decrease the wild fowl population and to fix some bridges in the park.

According to YourBasin.com, officials with the City of Odessa and Texas Wildlife Services Program have shut down Memorial Park.

Information from the city states that repairs will be done on two bridges in the park as well as working on reducing the population of wild geese and ducks in the park.

The park is scheduled to open again on July14.
