Despite all of the controversy surrounding author Orson Scott Card's political beliefs, the upcoming adaptation of his celebrated novel 'Ender's Game' continues to truck onward. First and foremost, the film is making a major appearance at Comic-Con 2013, where it will probably preach to the choir of already-sold geeks. Can it appeal to normal people? Will a new series of character posters featuring actors like Harrison Ford convince people that this is a movie for them?

In the first set of what promises to be a series of character posters (via Moviefone), we get a look at Harrison Ford as Colonel Hyrum Graff, Hailee Steinfeld as Petra Arkanian, and Nonso Anozie as Sergeant Dap. These character names are just as impenetrable as the names in 'Harry Potter,' 'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hunger Games,' so it's up to Summit's marketing folks to convince people that these are names worth learning. After all, if you can deal with Katniss Everdeen, surely you can deal with Ender Wiggin.

As millions of readers can tell you, 'Ender's Game' follows the title character (Asa Butterfield) as he attends Battle School, where the military transforms children into the future soldiers who will one day repel an alien invasion. It's an excellent read, even if you despise the author's beliefs. Buy it used.

'Ender's Game' will most likely premiere new footage Comic-Con this Thursday. It will officially invade theaters on November 1st, 2013.
