It was confirmed earlier this month that Matt Smith would not be returning as The Doctor next season, but would be in the Doctor Who Christmas Special. Matt has developed quite a fan base as the show is gaining popularity in the United States, so it shocked fans that he would not be returning.

Matt is currently shooting 'How To Catch A Monster' with Ryan Gosling in Detroit. After an all night shoot, Matt recorded this message to his disappointed Doctor Who fans, thanking them for their support.
