Miley Cyrus' 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance with Robin Thicke may have left people like foam finger manufacturers, concerned parents, her own fiance and anyone with a concept of choreography or vocal talent less than impressed, but she has two strong defenders.

Justin Timberlake, of the infamous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction, and ... Donald Trump?!

You read that right.

Trump's defense of Cyrus was simple. In a clip titled "A Message to My Hotel Guest," Trump trumpeted, "Miley, don't let them get you down! They're all jealous."

Meanwhile, JT had more to say. "Listen, man, you know, it's the VMAs," Timberlake told Fresh 102.7 (via TMZ). "What did you guys expect? I like Miley. I like her a lot," he added. "I think, you know, she's young. She's letting everybody know that she's growing up."

"I just think it's the VMAs. It's not like she did it at the Grammys," he continued. "Let her do her thing, you know? ... Madonna: wedding suit, humping the stage. Britney: striptease. This is not an uncommon thing," he said simply. "I actually thought all the bears were really cool."

But the bears weren't even his favorite part. "My favorite part of the Miley Cyrus performance is the Smith family reaction," he chuckled (although the photo that went viral was actually of Lady Gaga's performance). "I was late to the game on that!"
