Icy driving conditions are about to make an appearance in West Texas again. Make sure that you're prepared and are driving defensively.

The blue line on the map represents where precipitation is freezing.

The cold front that brought down the cooler weather and a light mist it started falling yesterday afternoon, is about to turn that mist into ice in West Texas. The National Weather Service has put out a winter storm warning for our area and we could see accumulations of snow by Friday morning up to 2 to 4 inches.

In the meantime driving conditions will become hazardous later this morning as the temperature drops and another wave of moisture moves into our area.

Leave early for work if possible and prepare for poor driving conditions to take hold later this morning.
