The pigeon problem at the Ector County Courthouse is making some offices move because of air quality issues stemming from the pigeon feces collecting in areas of the courthouse.

According to NewsWest 9, the odor caused by inches of pigeon feces along with mold and other problems have caused some in the county clerks offices to get sick.

An air quality assessment found the problem and now those issues are being corrected which is going to take some time since the spores have gottne into the ceiling tiles and insulation in the building.

The County Clerk's office will be relocated within the courthouse building in another room while other employees of the office will be relocated to the Ector County Commissioner's Court Building on 8th Street.

For more information contact the County Clerk's office at 432-498-4290.
