Emma Watson saw the successful removal of several revealing images from a website that acquired and posted the photos without her permission.

Watson’s legal team reportedly sent out a cease and desist letter to the site Celeb Jihad, which posted the semi-nude photos of the Harry Potter actress, according to TMZ.

The photos -- which TMZ reports were taken by Watson's stylist -- allegedly show the Perks of Being a Wallflower actress wearing a see-through shirt without a bra, effectively exposing her breasts and nipples.

The website removed the photos after receiving the cease and desist letter, which claimed a copyright violation against the website. The letter reportedly states Watson’s stylist transferred full rights of the photos to the Beauty and the Beast star after she took them, indicating the website did not have the legal right to upload and host the images in the first place.

The site then replaced the pictures with a statement that reads, “Emma Watson’s lawyers have had her leaked photos removed under a copyright claim,” according to the Toronto Sun.

This incident bears resemblance to an online hoax involving Watson from 2015, when a website alleged they would post nude photos of the actress at the end of a countdown. It turned out to be a total fabrication, but Watson commented on the incident during a HeForShe event back in March 2015.

"After I gave my speech [at the UN] there was a website threatening to release naked pictures of me," she said. "I knew it was a hoax, I knew the pictures didn’t exist, but I think a lot of people that were close to me knew gender equality was an issue but didn’t think it was that urgent, that it was a thing of the past.”
