ABC might have attempted to bury this news in the midst of Election 2016, but Agent Carter fans have another pressing concern. Hayley Atwell’s ABC series Conviction has officially been canceled, but is it good news or bad?

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Conviction will run out its full 13-episode order, but not receive any additional episodes. For the moment at least, the series will remain in its current Monday timeslot through November 14.

The series featured Atwell as a drug-addicted lawyer and former First Daughter, flanked by cast that included X-Men and The Walking Dead stars Shawn Ashmore and Emily Kinney. At the time, Conviction was intended as a side-project for the Agent Carter star, with both Atwell and ABC insisting she might balance a third season of Marvel’s Captain America spinoff.

It remains to be seen if Conviction’s cancellation is good news or bad for Marvel fans, as Atwell has repeatedly expressed an interest in additional Agent Carter commitments, but may find other work outside of ABC.

In the meantime, stay tuned for the latest on Atwell’s next gig.
