How Does Taylor Swift Connect With Her Listeners?

Taylor Swift tweeted and image yesterday that shows just how much she connects with her fans.

I saw this several times in my career in radio, but not so much with Pop stars. Maybe her start in Country had a lot to do with it. Country artists 'connect' with their fans in an intimate way, personally. The master at this had to be Garth Books.

No matter how you feel about him now, Garth understood that it was the fans that were buying his albums, coming to his concerts and requesting his songs. He would sign autographs for hours, until everyone who came to see him had theirs.

Taylor is similar in that she appreciates that it's the fans that drive her career. She never appears untouchable, inaccessible or aloof. This attitude and appreciation will keep her at the top for a long time to come.
