Stars will flock to NBC on Friday night to raise money for the victims affected by Hurricane Sandy, which devastated the East Coast this week and left hundreds homeless and millions more without power.

Hosted by Matt Lauer, the television event entitled 'Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together' will feature Christina Aguilera, Sting and New Yorker Billy Joel, plus New Jersey natives Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. Jimmy Fallon and Brian Williams are also slated to appear.

With their powers combined they don't quite form Captain Planet, but we'll take all the help they're willing to give. Money raised will go directly to the American Red Cross to provide food, shelter and other necessities to those in need.

The show will air live Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. on NBC and stream on NBC.com, with a tape-delayed showing for the West Coast. Other networks such as Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, NSNBC, Style, Syfy and USA will also carry the broadcast.

Donations can be made through the Red Cross website, via the toll free number 1-800-RED-CROSS, or by texting REDCROSS to 90999.
