It’s Hatch Chile Week at HEB!
For the next week HEB will be roasting Hatch Chiles at their Midland/Odessa locations and there are some great recipes to use them with!
My favorite use is with chile rellenos! Of course I also put several on top of a meatloaf for a spicy flavor. They are great on hamburgers or chicken filets even chopped up and added to some roasting vegetables
After you get the roasted peppers, slice them open and remove the seeds. Then lay them flat with pieces Glad Wrap folded over between them. After you do about 10 or more layers, wrap them up and put them in a Ziplock baggie to freeze for later use. That way you can have Hatch chilies all throughout the year!
