Leonid Meteor Shower Peaks This Weekend

Just a reminder if you are a skywatcher, the Leonid meteor shower is coming up this weekend!  

The shower will peak around 4 AM our time out of the constellation Leo. To find Leo in the sky, locate the Big Dipper in the Northeast. Imagine poking a hole in the bottom of the Big Dipper’s bowl. As the water runs out it would fall onto the back of Leo the Lion.

Temperatures in Midland / Odessa will range from the mid 40s to low 50s this weekend, so the weather will be bearable for early-morning viewing.
