Sony’s CG/live action hybrid Peter Rabbit movie has been quietly gathering a pretty high-profile cast, and today it looks like they’ve found another actor to voice something cute and fuzzy: Margot Robbie is currently in talks to lend her vocal talents to the modern adaptation of the Beatrix Potter classic.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie could join James CordenRose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson, Daisy Ridley, and Elizabeth Debicki in the cast that looks like it was plucked right from a garden of successful franchises. Will Gluck, director of Friends with Benefits and Easy A, is set to helm the project, which is described as a “modern interpretation” of the Potter story. We’re hoping that doesn’t mean it’s some sort of gritty reboot. On the other hand... hmm. Maybe a gritty reboot of Peter Rabbit is just what the doctor ordered.

Corden has signed on to voice the titular lagomorph, with Gleeson playing Mr. McGregor, the farmer whose garden is endlessly plagued by furry foes. Byrne is playing “Bea,” which probably means she’s depicting the author herself in a kind of meta-role. Details of Robbie’s possible role haven’t been announced, but THR says she’d be voicing one of the rabbits — possibly either Peter’s mother or one of his many siblings.

Peter Rabbit is still in the pre-production stage, and a U.S. release of the film has not yet been announced.
