Breathe easy, ‘Glee’ fans — Naya Rivera isn’t going anywhere!

On Monday, the New York Daily News reported that Fox had fired Rivera following a tiff with both the television series’ producers and co-star Lea Michele.

Just a few short weeks ago, Us Weekly disclosed that the ‘Glee’ set had witnessed a ‘major altercation’ between Michele and Rivera that ended with Rivera getting temporarily booted from the set.

An insider revealed to Us Weekly of the stars’ relationship, “They talk behind each other’s backs — a lot.”

Tensions were already high when the news of Rivera’s dismissal surfaced this week, which may be why we were all so ready to believe it. It seemed as if Gleeks were going to have to prepare themselves for a farewell to Santana.

Thankfully, Rivera’s rep has come forward to label the firing as a rumor. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed on Tuesday that the musical star is still part of the cast. “Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from ‘Glee’ are absolutely untrue. End of story,” the rep shared in a statement from Fox.

The 27-year-old actress didn’t acknowledge any of the rumors, but she took to Twitter to express herself indirectly.

Rivera won’t be a part of the show’s fifth season finale airing on May 13, but another insider tells E!, it has “nothing to do with Michele.” Hopefully the break will ease any existing strains and lead to a full-cast return for the sixth season of ‘Glee.’
