If ever you thought days telling those Snapchatting kids to get off your lawn were coming to a middle, NBC has bad news. Not only will shows like SNL and E! News soon have their own Snapchat series, The Voice will even start using it as an audition tool.

Per Entertainment Weekly, The Voice will mark the first NBCUniversal property to get the Snapchat treatment, starting with a five-episode series arriving on August 22. Users can submit audition videos to be judged by coaches Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine, with standouts getting a chance to actually audition in the Season 11 premiere.

E! News will also commission a Snapchat version of “The Rundown” to be hosted by correspondent Erin Lim, arriving as early as September 8. For the moment at least, NBCUniversal has only listed plans for SNL Snapchat series and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, without any concrete details as of yet.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard SNL branching out into new formats, including the upcoming Season 42 use of sponsored sketches, but will Snapchat change the way NBC thinks? Does anyone want to explain to me what Snapchat is? Still a bit fuzzy.
