There are certain movies that you always associate with your senior year in high school, this was mine.

32 years ago, on this date in 1982, 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High' was released. Sean Penn stars as Jeff Spicoli, a perpetually stoned surfer dude who faces off with the flint-browed Mr. Hand (Ray Walston), who is convinced that everyone is on dope. The movie follows a group of high school students growing up in southern California and is actually based on the real-life adventures chronicled by Cameron Crowe.

Stacy Hamilton and Mark Ratner, Linda Barrett and Mike Damone, also appear along with a very young Judge Reinhold (Beverly Hills Cop). The gist of the film is held by Jeff Spicoli, a perpetually stoned surfer dude who faces off with the resolute Mr. Hand, who is convinced that everyone is on dope.
