Landing the lead in an Ocean's Eleven remake is the opportunity of a lifetime for Sandra Bullock, but her latest real-life role is mother of a second child.

According to PEOPLEBullock, who adopted her five-year-old son Louis in 2010, has expanded her family with the adoption of a little girl named Laila. The three-year-old had lived in foster care in Louisiana until joining the actress' family, but Bullock said she felt immediately sure that she was the child's rightful guardian.

"When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here," she said. "I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time."

PEOPLE explains that Bullock first began to consider a second adoption when Louis started asking about siblings. When she decided to commit, she said she made a particular point to fashion her house into something that felt like Laila's home.

"I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren’t going anywhere,” she shared, and added Laila has brought “pink and glitter in the house mixed with Legos and Batmans."

Seem like an unusual arrangement to you? Well, Bullock sees her household as totally normal.

"My family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding,” she concluded. “That’s a family."
