He’s a graduate of Texas Tech University, has over 30 years experience in radio and has been helping the community by helping Community and Senior Services, Children’s Advocacy/Rape Crisis Center, Special Olympics and much more.
He’s been married to his wife Maureen for six years and share his daughter Meredith, two rescue dogs, including a Great Dane and Tigger the cat.
We wanted to learn more about him so we asked him a few questions.
How did you get interested in being a DJ?
“My mom told me to go see the nice man down at the radio station who said he was hiring.”
If she hadn’t and you were not in radio, what do you think you would be doing as a career?
“Professional hit man.”
Ehh, it would be safer and legal to just play one in a movie so if you could cast yourself for a Hollywood movie, what would it be and who would you want to co-star with you?
“’Does It Never Rain Here?’ and it would star my wife and daughter, Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, Tommy Lee Jones, Sofia Vergara and Gwyneth Paltrow.”
You definitely know your stars, do you have a favorite movie?
“I have three. Braveheart, Zombieland and Captain America.”
If you were to win the lottery, what would you spend it on?
“After giving most of it away, I would buy my wife and daughter anything they wanted. I am not stupid! (Laughs).”
Being a DJ, you know your music, so what is your favorite singer or band?
“There are so many, but going by how many albums I have, Steve Perry of Journey.”
A cell phone has practically become essential these days so what are some of the phone apps you can’t get through the day without checking?
“Facebook, Grocery IQ, Google Maps, IMDB, TIVO and the App Store.”
And finally, what are some of the things you like to do when you’re not working?
“Firearms training, hunting, reading, Call Of Duty and cooking.”
