The one word that makes the oil industry hold its collective breath, The Lesser Prairie Chicken, is yet again being reviewed by Federal wildlife officials.

According to NewsWest 9, Federal wildlife officials have agreed to reconsider the status of the Lesser Prairie Chicken.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced Tuesday it would review the status of the grouse that was taken off the list of endangered species.

Environmentalists are saying the emergency protections are needed for isolated populations of the grouse along the Texas-New Mexico border as well as in Colorado and Kansas.
