Zayn Malik’s first solo album Mind of Mine will reportedly debut on the UK albums chart at No. 1.

Mind of Mine is said to have moved over 4,000 more combined sales than Adele’s 25 — which people are still buying in droves for some reason — according to a report from Official Charts.

“I want to thank all the fans and my team at RCA and First Access Entertainment for everything they have done to help me start my journey as a solo artist," Zayn told the site. "It really is the beginning. I can't believe that I have managed to achieve this as a solo artist.

"I am very proud coming from Bradford achieving this in my home country,” he continued. "It’s mind-blowing to me. I don't take the support I have received for granted. My life at 23 could have been very different.”

He’s right — despite initial claims that Zayn quit One Direction in the middle of their world tour to live his life as a normal 22 year old, he entered the studio as a solo artist almost immediately after. Clearly, it was the right move.

Zayn -- who recently admitted he'd just seen Deadpool for a second time, because he "f---king love[s] this sh--t" -- is no stranger to No. 1 debuts. Three of his albums with One Direction (Take Me Home, Midnight Memories and Four) debuted at No. 1 in the UK, and his single "Pillowtalk" is the fastest selling single of 2016 so far, according to Billboard.
